Elevator Pitch

Microservices and their evolution has benefitted a lot of applications. But what about those who are still unsure of moving to a microservice oriented architecture?

This talk will look at some of these problems.

Description

Microservices have existed in the IT industry for a while now. But amidst all the love this architecture has received over the past couple of years, there are still some drawbacks that cannot be compromised. Some say opening up these microservices as APIs might help. But is it really a legitimate solution? And how many problems does it solve anyway?

This talk will start with a brief introduction to Microservices, followed by its evolution over the years. Meanwhile, a parallel story of Microservices as APIs will slowly unfold and we’ll try finding answers to some of the questions circling in the minds of those who are still unsure about exporting their existing architecture to microservices.
