Bio
After learning the tools of the software engineering trade at large-scale businesses with sprawling legacy codebases, Sven is currently heading Engineering at GastroHero, a B2B eCommerce company catering to HoReCa professionals. He splits his time between slicing load-bearing monoliths into smaller cloud-sized chunks and growing the product engineering teams within the company. Drawing on his experience of building, shipping and running a diverse set of successful products in the Web sphere, Sven takes a craftsman’s pride in his work while trying to balance the needs of people, product and engineering.
As an avid scuba diver and motorcyclist, Sven spends a lot of his spare time outside when it’s warm. He’s looking forward to running Mudmasters and Toughmudder events with family or colleagues again, Covid permitting.
