BSides Leeds is back! Our virtual conference will be on Friday 23rd June and will be a careers day using GatherTown, with our in person conference on Saturday 24th June back at Cloth Hall Court in Leeds.
BSides Leeds has a threefold focus: 1. To give an opportunity for talks that may not be accepted to the mainstream UK security conferences to be given a platform (hence the name ‘BSides’) 2. To showcase the work of some brilliant hackers and defenders who are deeply passionate about their craft 3. To give the opportunity for industry professionals and students alike to mix, meet, network, and give/attend some really cool talks
We are really excited to be able to bring this event back to life – West Yorkshire’s returning security conference!
We will have a Red vs Blue theme, with a Red and Blue track for talks, bringing both sides together for a Purple Team evening. We invite speakers from all sides of the community to submit talks. We are especially keen to receive the following topics
- Career Journeys, for our virtual career tracks on Friday
- Offensive Security including Application Security, Pen Test, Red Team Talks for in person talks on Saturday
- Defensive Security Talks including Blue Team, Digital Forensics, Threat Intel for in person talks on Saturday
- Any other flavour of talk that you feel would be interesting for the BSides community
Our conference will welcome students and seasoned security professionals alike, and our audience typically includes technical cyber and IT professionals.
We also welcome first time speakers - we can pair you with a mentor to practise your talks.
We welcome both 25 minute and 45 minute talks, which can include demos, but no sales pitches.
