Florida PyCon
Florida PyCon is Florida’s first and only regional Python language conference. We will have talks and workshops covering all things Python including three primary tracks: Web, Data Science, and Speaker’s Choice. Main track talks will be recorded and available after the conference.
- Florida PyCon will be the first Saturday in October (2017-10-07) from 8AM to 5PM
- The conference will be held in Orlando, FL at the Exchange building downtown:

Orlando, FL 32801 - To provide the best experience for attendees in our first year, we will be limiting attendance to around 250 people
- We will be kickstarting Orlando Tech Week with the Orlando Tech Association

CFP Description
We’ll be accepting full talks, lightning talks which fall under three primary tracks:
- Web
- Data Science
- Other
We’re also accepting 3-hour workshops proposals. Please tag your proposal according to talk type which track it would fall into (latter does not apply to workshops).
Keep in mind that your audience will be incredibly mixed in terms of skill levels and demographics; include everyone. We will provide AV equipment for presenting to the room and recording both the speaker and computer screen. Make sure you bring whatever you need to output to HDMI. We will have some dongles available, but we can’t guarantee they won’t already be in use during your talk.
