GoLab is the second edition of the first Italian conference about the Go programming language. This time we’d like to do more than the last year, so the conference is longer (2 days), bigger (more tracks) and international. If you are a already a gopher, or you’d like to be one, or you’d simply like to know more about Go, be with us next January.

CFP Description

Share your experience! Submit your presentation proposal to GoLab, the first Italian conference about the Go programming language. Our scope of talks includes a broad area, anything in the realm of Go language development. Our audience will be mainly members of the software developers community, mostly software engineers and practicing developers, technical team leads, etc.

We have 3 kinds of slots:

  1. 45 min talks, in the auditorium, slides and words, as usual,
  2. 1h30 labs, in a ~80 seats room, for a more interactive subject,
  3. 3h workshops, in a 30 seats room, for an in depth exploration of a subject,

and we are planning two slots for Lightning Talks too.

You’re not an experienced speaker? Don’t worry, some of our best speakers have been people who simply had very interesting experiences or perspectives to share. We’ll be happy to review your slides and presentation before going on-stage. This is a conference for everyone. Beginner topics are welcome.

Submit as many proposals as you like. Panels or multiple presenter proposals are fine with us. All of the accepted presenters will receive a free ticket.

We welcome proposals from everyone, and will evaluate each proposal on it own merits, regardless of the speaker’s ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, etc. We strive to be encouraging and inclusive of everyone in our community.

Therefore we expect all of our attendees, speakers included, to follow our code of conduct. See our code of conduct for the complete description.

Notes

Proposals containing overt marketing-based content will be rejected. Our attendees want to learn from your presentation: a sales pitch will not get the reaction you want.

We might accept and announce a few (or even many) talks before the end of the CFP.

PS.

Thanks to gothamgo2016 for the “inspiration”.
