About Us

We are vietnamese gophers. We stick together to build this great community. Founded in 2014, this meetup is the place for all beginner and experienced #golang programmers in Vietnam.

We meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. Second Tuesdays are for one or more talks, and fourth Tuesdays are just hackfests, where people bring their laptops and hang out.

Discuss all #golang related topics, meet other developers and other interesting folks. Presentations, workshops, hack-fests and more. Meet other developers, find out about interesting projects and opportunities for work and potential employment. Join the group and you’ll get a weekly newsletter with lots of great beginner material.

CFP Description

We welcome speakers from varying backgrounds. You do not have to be an experienced speaker or an experienced programmer to be considered for speaking at GopherCon Vietnam. We aim to ensure that the conference is welcoming and relevant to both beginner and experienced programmers.

You may submit proposals for any of these talks:

  • Main conference (Time limit: 30 mins)
  • Lightning talks (Time Limit: 10 mins)

The choice of topic is yours. Go is so ubiquitous that people are using it in back-end services, distributed systems, databases, mobile, embedded systems, etc. We would also love to hear about your best practices, cautionary tales, future visions and hard-won lessons.

The submission process is anonymized. We take into account quality, relevance, novelty, and practical impact. Final selection is done by the organizing committee.

All accepted speakers will get a free ticket.
