About IT Hot Topics Conference 2020

Your favorite regional IT and infosec event, the annual IT Hot Topics Conference and Golf Tourney returns in 2020, hosted at the gorgeous Grandover Resort. This conference is hosted by Carolina Advanced Digital and partners and is a community-driven event. Attendees usually attend for a nominal fee to cover food.

Submit your talk and join the fun! Past speakers include Dave Kennedy, Johnny Long, The Hoff, Mike Rothman, Howard Schmidt, Katie Moussouris, Ryan Linn and many others! We’re also looking for lockpick village and workshop hosts.

TOPICS AND AUDIENCE

The IT Hot Topics conference has attendees from all market segments including education, government, enterprise, healthcare, financial, utilities and manufacturing. Attendees are typically professionals, managers, and executives in the technology infrastructure and security functions.

Final track designations will be determined as the agenda is built but we're seeking topics in areas related to:

  • Wi-Fi, Mobility and IoT
  • Networking and infrastructure
  • Security technologies, operations, strategy, and training
  • Cloud and virtualization
  • Audit, compliance, and legal
  • Professional development
  • Physical security

SUBMISSION/TRACK TYPES

  • Technology Talk (50 minutes)
    Standard technology-centric tracks without specific manufacturer details or case studies.
  • Vendor Showcase (50 minutes)
    For manufacturer engineers to demo or showcase a product, how-to, or update/roadmap. Requires Paid Sponsorship.
  • Case Study (50 minutes)
    For technology users to share case studies, war stories, or how they accomplished a goal.
  • Workshop or Training (2+ hours)
    Special flexible format 2+ hours for workshop or training. Workshops are free for attendees and facilitators are not paid.
