Scala.IO is a conference for people having interest in the Scala ecosystem or simply being curious about the language, usages. The conference is organized by Scala supporters from the community, and provides a great opportunity to meet with other enthusiasts and practitioners. You can find the videos of the past editions (200+) on our YouTube channel
This edition brings us together in Paris for one day, with a multi-session structure and a large community space. With a great venue, wonderful speakers, and a lot of surprises, we are looking forward to meeting you there!
CFP Description
As always, we’re interested in hearing about Scala and Functional Programming, but we are also open to talks about other functional languages.
More specifically, we’d like to feature talks walking us through the ever-expanding landscape of effect systems/capture checking, be it in Scala (cats-effects, ZIO, Kyo, Caprese, etc) or in other languages (eg. Effekt, Flix, etc).
We’d also like to give some love to Scala-on-the-frontend with talks about ScalaJS, the associated libraries/frameworks and how it compares to other FP-oriented frontend technologies (Typescript, Elm, etc).
These are mere suggestions though, we may as well accept submissions about topics not listed above.
