What kind of issues do we have?

In Evangelism and Advocacy, the difficulty of determining KPI is often a topic. What is the purpose of our activities for Developer Advocate? Increase sales? Profit rate? Reduce lavor-costs in development progects? Though it may be about the purpose of activities in Develoepr Advocate, it is hard to be KPI of activity itself. Because our activities are where we build the foundation for the company to earn money to sustain. It is similar to seeding, so it is not its Quarterly or Half-Yearly that its fruit and flowers bloom. Sometimes it often gets results after more than a year.

What can you learn from this session?

What should we do for KPI on Evangelism and Advocay? I don’t think we have the right answer, but I will teach KPIs necessary for Evangelism and Advocacy from my experiences involving DevRel with some companies and acting as an external evangelist of platform vendors. After listening to this session, you will be able to set the goals you need for yourself to work.

Notes

I am a developer advocate in IBM, and involved in IBM Champion program (world wide IBM external evangelist program), so have knowledge/experience of best external evangelist method. Besides, also I am a Microsoft MVP holder, that’s why familiar with the system of Microsoft external evangelist program too. The point is that I am the best parson as a speaker with this theme.
