The Agile Midwest Conference is seeking engaging and interactive presentations focusing on the values, principles and practices of agile software development.
We hope you will consider sharing your insights on agile with several hundred other agilists from across the Midwest and the St. Louis, MO metro area on Thursday, October 12, 2017.
The Agile Midwest conference will be held at the St. Charles Convention Center (1 Convention Center Plaza, St Charles, MO 63303). For those traveling from out of town, the convention center is connected to the Embassy Suites St. Charles Hotel (2 Convention Center Plaza, St Charles, MO 63303).
Sessions presented at Agile Midwest will span the business, team, and technical aspects of agile software development and encompass activities and insights for those just getting starting with agile to those who are experienced in the field.
We anticipate that most sessions will be highly interactive to engage participants and maximize learning.
CFP Description
The Agile Midwest Conference welcomes submissions on all topics related to agile software development, inclusive of:
- Agile Team & Collaboration Activities
- Product Ownership
- Agile Coaching
- Scrum / Lean / Kanban Methodologies
- Scaling Agile / Enterprise Agile
- Agile Testing / Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering
- Automated Testing / Automated Deployments
- Agile Measurement / Metrics & Portfolio Management
- User Experience (UX)
- Agile Technical Practices
- DevOps
- Business Agility & Alignment & Innovation
We welcome submission of talks / presentations; however, selection preference will be given to sessions that are more interactive (exercises, simulations, games) which engage participants to apply or practice what they have learned.
The majority of our presentation sessions are 45 minutes long (most selected sessions will be 45 minutes long) – the conference will include a limited number of 90 minute sessions to allow for more in-depth activities and discussions.
Conference presentation rooms feature A/V capabilities (projection screen). Agile Midwest will provide basic facilitation supplies (Post-Its Notes, Note Cards, Markers, etc) for activities/exercises within interactive sessions.
Presenters of sessions selected for the conference program will receive complimentary admission to the Agile Midwest conference on Thursday, October 12, 2017 and the conference Open Space on Wednesday, October 11, 2017.
We encourage those not selected for presentation to register to attend the event where you will be able to offer to share your session as part of conference Open Space on Wednesday, October 11, 2017.
