Oπe\n is an annual technical conference organized by Greek SW development and IT ecosystem together with Nokia Hellas. Its vision is to interconnect and foster the tech ecosystem in Greece -in the Software Engineering and IT sector-, so that it helps it gain a prominent position evolving to a big draw for other companies in the area, while contributing to the reduction of brain drain.

This year, our two day event will focus on Infrastructure (containers, serverless and more) and Applications (AI/ML/Data Analytics, IOT, Cloud Native and more)

Target audience (~500 per day): • Members of the Greek technical communities • Greek IT companies’ engineers • Students interested in IT and software engineering • Startuppers

CFP Description

For this year , subjects should revolve around (but not be strictly limited to) :

• INFRASTRUCTURE Theoretical foundations of containers and containerization Usage, best practices and architectural aspects of using containers as infrastructure Container engines and orchestration frameworks Serverless computing, FaaS platforms and the serverless framework Advantages and disadvantages of related designs, the containers vs serverless debate Security aspects of using containers or serverless designs Testing and integration tools, frameworks and practices

• APPLICATIONS Real world practices and applications of AI / ML /Data Analytics Frameworks for Data Analytics/Fast Data/Big Data Technology and implementation perspectives and security hardening of IOT applications including network scaling. Cloud native applications Tools , frameworks and security considerations for cloud native

Proposed speeches should be in the 20’ - 40’ minutes range (+5’ for Q&A).

We are open to alternative presentation modes like a semi-structured panel-like discussion or other. In case of the latter, please provide the necessary details on the format, participants, time, etc
