Skills Matter was founded to help drive innovation in software engineering by bringing smart and creative developers together to learn and share new skills, discover emerging technologies and evolve practices and ideas. Together, we have built a thriving ecosystem, learning and sharing high quality skills and content on cutting edge topics at 2,000+ talks, technology conferences, meetups, hackathons and workshops every year.
With an unwavering can-do attitude and inherent belief in the brain power and creativity of our community, Skills Matter has grown from humble origins to 120,000 members strong in just over a decade. We provide exclusive public and private training opportunities year round in multiple global locations and are always on the look out for new and exciting opportunities to provide expert professional training to our community to build and improve their skills.
Public training courses are held at our fantastic tech hub, CodeNode, in the heart of London between Moorgate and Liverpool Street stations. Events run from 9am to 5pm daily, include lunch and free tea and coffee and of course everyone is encouraged to stick around for extra brainstorming and networking after the course at our licensed in-house bar, SpaceBar.

We currently offer over 80 training courses created and taught by leading industry experts in their field and creators of the technologies you know and love! With 120,000+ passionate, experienced and highly engaged members, we’re Europe’s largest community of software engineers regularly coming together.
We are interested in courses focusing on: Architecture, DevOps, Cloud, CloudNative, CI/CD, Automation, DevSec, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and we always love Big and Fast Data. If you’re a language specific expert, we are also interested in Scala, Java, HTML, Javascript, Python, Clojure, Elixir, Go, F#, Haskell, Swift, .NET etc.
Our audience is experienced. The community at Skills Matter tends to have a minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience, are ambitious and passionate about learning new skills so introduction to coding courses or the basics of programming doesn’t quite fit. Feel free to take a look here at our current offerings. We keep our class sizes manageable and emphasise quality content with expert instructors who can give real world feedback and solutions.
