WordCamps are casual conferences that are local in nature. Topics cover everything related to WordPress and include things such as blogging, coding, branding, and security.
WordCamp Ann Arbor is perfect for any level of WordPress knowledge. We have specific tracks for those brand new to WordPress, business sessions for WordPress users and deep dives for the experienced developer.
CFP Description
We are currently looking for speakers! We’re expecting nearly 400 attendees with a wide range of experience and interests. All presentations will be recorded and posted to WordPress.tv.
Speakers will also be invited to a special speakers only dinner and receive a special “thank you” gift from the organizing committee.
Session Overview
Sessions will either be 35 minutes long with 15 minutes of Q&A or will be 15 minute lightning talks with no Q&A. We’re currently looking for talks related to the following topics (though other topics are welcome):
- WordPress Basics
- Blogging and Content Creation
- Custom Website Development
- Themes and Front End Development (HTML/CSS/JS, Etc…)
- Design and User Experience
- Backend Development, Frameworks, Workflow, etc…
- Marketing and Branding
- Running a WordPress Based Business
- eCommerce
- Web security
- Web accessibility
Required Qualifications
You are not required to be a professional speaker, but you must know what you’re talking about. We’ll be selecting speakers based on how timely, relevant and useful the topic is.
Speaker applications will be accepted until May 17th, 2019
