DevOps + Automation Summit is a gathering of DevOps and Automation professionals and enthusiasts from around the global, hosted at the Renaissance Hotel in Nashville TN. The event is not focused on just one automation tool. More than just a conference, it’s a true in-person gathering of a vibrant community where we will be talking about different automation tools and toolsets, across multiple platforms learning best practices and industry standards. We share challenges and solutions, and we drive our industry forward. If you are focusing on system & cloud automation, regardless of the OS or cloud vendor, and especially if you’re moving your organization toward a DevOps footing, then this is the 400+ level event you’ve been looking for.
We look for an abstract that’s compelling and makes us want to see your session - so spend time writing a great abstract! We want sessions that offer real-world usability combined with “WOW, nobody talks about THAT” awesomeness. We want to see the code. Don’t just talk about it - this is a Automation summit, not a PowerPoint Summit. If your session isn’t predominately demonstrations, it’s probably not right for this event.
Summit presentations often have plenty of audience interaction. You should expect questions and discussions. This is not a “lecture to the audience” event.
If you have any doubts about the suitability of a particular session, please contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org or #conferences - we’re always happy to discuss proposed sessions.
We are open to presentations across the entire ecosystem that has been built around Automation or the various DevOps tools. This includes Microsoft and LInux platforms, all cloud platforms, as well as third party products. New topics will be preferred over the recycling of older topics. However, we are still open to sessions on ‘older’ topics that address areas of great confusion or uncertainty.
We have a number of agenda slots available for double length sessions. These sessions delve into the depths of a topic covering areas that need more than 45 minutes.
Please note all sessions are to be delivered in English.
Connectivity and equipment
Internet connectivity is available in the conference center but bandwidth is limited. If you rely on connecting to the cloud for your sessions then consider recording any demonstrations as a contingency.
Presenter will provide all equipment needed to deliver session(s), including a laptop or other computer. Presenter must be able to provide video by means of HDMI, or their own adapter - VGA is NOT supported. Presenter must be able to manually select an appropriate screen resolution for video output. Typically, 1024x768 or 1280x720 are preferred.
