Women Techmakers (WTM) is Google’s global program and brand for women in technology. As part of the global event series, we’ve hosted a WTM Summit Belfast since 2016, in celebration of International Women’s Day.

In its 4th year, Belfast’s edition of the global WTM event has grown with the community. In 2019 we are responding with our biggest event yet - a full day where we hear from speakers who will inspire, motivate, enthuse and relate to our audience of everyone, with talks highlighting the achievements of local women.

WTM Summit Belfast 2019 will take place on Saturday, 9th March 2019 as a full day conference at Queen’s University Belfast - Computer Science Building. For more information please visit our website.

CFP Description

We represent the local community of women in technology - so we would love to hear from you! We are looking for a variety of talks: technical and non-technical, long talks and lightning talks, all ideally suitable for a general audience who come from different tech backgrounds.

Our Call for Proposals (CFP) is open from Friday 21st December 2018 up to Sunday 3rd February 2019 and we encourage all women in tech all over Northern Ireland to apply. All submissions are anonymous in order to avoid any bias.

We aim to showcase the diverse talents in our community including developers, designers, managers, technology entrepreneurs, and many others across all phases of their careers, backgrounds, and walks of life. New and beginner speakers are very much welcome to apply, as are experienced speakers.

Please note that submissions from outside Northern Ireland will not be accepted. Please kindly apply to speak at your local WTM Summit.
